vvvrrrrrtttttt - the sound of another week gone by!

Really where does time go? I just got a txt to do a call out for the next P&C meeting, I feel like I only just sent the last lot of minutes out! I guess my life right now is on high speed. I spent most of last week trying to organise a new FDC arrangement for Will. At this stage he has a constant person Wed and Fri but a temp for Monday. Biggest drag is that I have to spend 15 mins driving to drop him off to return almost back to the same spot for work :( I'm doing the solo parent thing too - DH is away for work. Kids have been pretty good - missing their Dad of course!

I've managed to get a few LO's done - late nights and early mornings when everyone is asleep ;)

Credits Here AJ at his 7th birthday party. He had a bowling party and had a fun time! I just love these photos of him!

Credits Here This is our bunny Bluey what else could you call a blue eyed bunny? He is a house-bunny too - he sleeps in the bathroom at night and he gets put out during the day into a secure hutch.

Credits Here This is a hybrid challenge over at Designs In Digital. Check it out here!

Credits Here I don't scrap my hubby enough, he won't let me take photos of him!

Credits Here I love these Jumping Jacks! Will and Timmy loved their's, they were hanging off me as I was cutting them out. They got to play with them before I strung them up, so these photos are pre-strung. I didn't get AJ's done as I ran out of ink and I haven't been able to replace it yet.

If you are in the mood for a challenge I have a what's my theme challenge over at Designs in Digital. It is on using monotones. There are still a few days open for this before I give another challenge.

Playing catch up

I've decide to *try* and post twice a week. Most likely Tuesdays and Thursdays as these are my home days now. With Will at 3yo Preschool in the afternoons it should give me time to post something.

Ha ha ha let's see how long that will last snickers all!

In case you missed them in the galleries that I post in, here are my CT LO's for the month of February!

My little track and field star

On the weekend we had the Little Athletics Southside Carnival. AJ competed in 5 events, 100m, 50m, 70m, discus and long jump. We were very proud of him. In his age group he placed 7th overall in the discus, missing out in a place for the regional carnival by one; 9th overall for the 100m, 9th overall for 50m, ran the final in the 70m and finished 7th overall; and finished 6th in the long jump placing him in the team for the regional final for under 7 boys long jump.

Here's a couple of action shots! Oh and that funny blue thing - that's the discuss ;)

I used these cute little cluster frames from Tara Dunstan Designs, they can be found at the pickleberrypop shop under Clustered Frames !

This one's for you, Amanda!

I was chided by "Odd Job Amanda" for being way too slow in my blog postings .... life sure does get in the way of a blog post!

So what has happened recently in the life a damsel like me? I now have two boys at school. Will is at 3yo preschool for 5 hours a week and I *think* I start work on Monday. Woah - yep work - the hardest thing was gettng my CV together and making it sound interesting considering I haven't been in full time paid work since 2000 and casual work since 2004. And of course trying to find a referee who was still contactable. In the end I was able to find one plus I have also asked the teacher in charge of the preschool to be a character referee. It is now a waiting game - my CV has been looked at and I heard that the HR manager was suitably impressed (phew) and final decisions are being made.

In between I have been scrapping (well der), being mum the taxi driver between schools and Little Athletics events and play dates and doing all those endless chores (washing, ironing, cleaning). Oh and I had a birthday too ;)

Is that enough now Amanda?

Getting our own back

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT PURCHASE A
DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD
CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A
NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES.

THEREFORE FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22nd HAS BEEN FORMALLY
DECLARED ‘STICK IT UP THEIR ASS DAY’ AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT
BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF
YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY
AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE
PRICES ? IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND
CONTROL IN PRICES THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED LONG AGO?
THE PRICES JUST KEEP GOING UP AND WE NEED TO STOP IT

PETROL PRICES ARE CAUSING OTHER EFFECTS; AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR
PRICES, AS ARE TRUCKING COMPANIES . THIS INCREASES PRICES ON
EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING,
BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN
MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY,WE WILL DO IT
AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO
EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND
MAKE
FEBRUARY 22nd
THE DAY CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA SAY 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH'
