Mad Genius Designs June CU Grab Bag

Mad Genius Designs June CU Grab Bag is out now at Digiridoo Scraps! This CU grab bage has two set of grunge overlays and a set of flower brushes.

I combined all of these together with Pattern Genius Volume One - Commercial Use and Brush Genius Volume Two - Commercial Use to come up with a cute mini I have called "Watersprite".

The colours I used were from a pallete for the June Go For Pinks (or blues, or...) colour challenge at DSDI.

You can download my freebie mini here!

Freebie featuring CU product by Mad Genius Designs

I love Jewel's CU products. Her latest CU products are no excepetion. You can click on each image to go to her store.

I had a huge play with them and came up with a mini kit using this pallet.

Which is from this month's Go For Pinks colour challenge at DSDI.

I used the layered damask for a couple of papers, one of the frames and the paper borders. I really love how the paper borders came out!

I used the grunge set for all of the papers.

I used this brush set on the green paper to really grunge up the edges.

Experimenting with blend modes {+ a freebie}

Mad Genuis Designs Texture Tuesday offeres texture freebies every week. I picked up these last week.

DSDI March Go for Pinks (or blues, or ...) colour challenge had a big palette to play with so I combined the texture plates with some photos of muddy splats on a car bonnet that I had. Several blend modes, gradient levels, and CU card and paper overlays, I came up with these.

Clicking on either image will take you to their source to download. Please do not share the file, but please direct to where they can be found on either blog :)

One huge mega enabling post ;)

I am a little behind in my enabling for this month - for some reason I kept running out of time, and my old blog is always last my list. So I've set aside mt morning to do so - kids have been dropped off to school, I've collected the mail and taken the dogs for a walk. I've just put the cow on for a coffee and Muse is blaring from my speakers. Time to enable :)

January Love is now available at the Red Genius Store as a bundle, and is 20% off right now.

I love the colours in this kit.

I used the glitter styles and cardstock styles to make the frame and the alpha.

The alpha used on this page is by Little Red Scraps from a kit that also uses the same colour pallet, called Love You Forever, which is sadly not available anymore. Maybe when Jane is feeling better, she will start designing and selling again.

The second one I based the template on for February's Made In The Shade template challenge that I am hosting at DSDI this month.

DSDI's February guest designer is Kat's Creations. I've had the pleasure of using Insane Moments, which is a collab with Spinkydink Scraps.

Daphadilly Art has a cute little blue mini called Sweet and Free.

It was just perfect for this picture of Will.

Lastly but not at least is this month's DSDI FOTM kit Get Your Game On. The kit for scrappung all of your family game nights.

A Day in My Life - Collection by Jen C Designs

A day in my life is perfect for documenting the days of your life. This grab bag includes a full size kit, dates stickers, days of the week stickers, weekly (1-52) page borders, day frames (Sunday-Saturday), three alphas and templates.

The colour palette used for this amazing collection is also the focus of January's Go For Pinks or Blues colour challenge at DSDI.

Here are a couple of pages that I have created so far using this gorgeous kit. Ahhhh so many possibilities.

Digi Scraps Drive-In Charity Scrapathon Blog Train!

October is Breast Cancer awareness month, and you've probably noticed pink everywhere - businesses from office supplies to donut shoppes have been creating products specially designed to raise awareness ad funds to this important cause. And the ladies at Digi Scraps Drive-In have stepped up to the plate. Not only have the created a beautiful charity collab kit, but they built an entire weekend event around it.

The Charity Scrapathon runs from October 21 o 24. Anyone can scrap along, but to be eligible for the prizes, you need to have purchased the charity collab kit.

And WOW these prizes! You can earn coupons, a site collab, and a chance to win Jen C Designs or C.W. Picket and Company's entire store!

When you purchase this kit, your $6 goes entirely to Breast Cancer research (after Paypal fees), gets you stunning collab kit (and it's not just pink) And a chance to win coupons, another kit, and perhaps an entire store (now that's a deal!)

Feast your eyes on the beautiful kit:

You can pick it up at DIgi SCraps Drive In, and remember all proceeds (after Paypal fees) are going to breast cancer research.

Of course we had to get the word out about this even as much as possible, and so we decided to launch the event with a Blog Train. Travel this train and you will collect beautiful brag book pages and even a set of blogwear. The train starts on the DSDI Blog and ends in the DSDI forums. Some of our team members live in other timezones, so be patient if all the contributions aren't posted yet - they will be.

Here is my contribution:

I went for my pinks (and blues)

REALLY?

No, I just had a play with the DSDI April Colour challenge. The pallet was awesome - kinda beachy and earthy at the same time. I was insoired by my recent camping and 4WDing trip to Stockton Beach.

This is the colour pallet

I took loads of photos and was able to blend some of them into papers and do sone extractions as well.

The kids had fun playing with that float I can tell you!

If you want this and any other minis that coordinate with this colour scheme, head on down to the COlour Challeneg Gallery at DSDI.

Cheers!

Spice it up for Jan '10 @ DSDI

Ready to be challenged?

OMGosh is it really NEW YEARS already? Well it is here in Australia - anyways ... I'm getting it up ready to go - AND I managed to get a page up in the gallery too - I am really going to try and be on top of my game this year - yeah right LOL!!:lol:

I though that we would focus on attachments this month as our element challenge. How do you stick items down? Tape? Staple? Messy glue? Stitches? I would like to see you use a few different attachments in your page this month.

I went a bit overboard - I used staples, stitches, twine, even a safety pin ;) I tried the messy glue too, but it just wasn't a good look for this page here for a messy glue example.)

Here's my page:

Remember to[link us up to your LO here so we can LYSL and award you your points (15 for the challenge and 10 bonus for using at least 90% DSDI product)!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
